You’d be forgiven for thinking the media is only focusing on doom and gloom.
But journalists are just as fed up with coronavirus stories too.
If you need a powerful counterbalance to regular news and have a good news story to share, here’s my round-up of online publications looking for positive stories.
Positive News They are ‘the first media organisation in the world that is dedicated to quality, independent reporting about what’s going right’ They publish daily online and the magazine is published quarterly in print.
Daily Mirror – each day they have a double page spread called #letsdothistogether highlighting community stories from across the UK. If you have a good news story, contact their feature writer Siobhan Mcnally. Her email is in the link.
The Metro ‘My Quarantine Routine’ is a miniseries focusing on what people are doing during isolation. It’s literally just people sharing their routines and how they are getting through the day right now. If you have a unique story of how you’re coping during the lockdown, might be worth pitching your story. The email is at the bottom of each article.
inews Acts of Kindness They are sharing stories each week of the amazing heroes and acts of kindness during isolation and are actively looking for stories to cover. The email is listed at the bottom of the article.
Grow Media – they are showcasing and actively looking for good news stories during the lockdown so contact them with your good news.
Whether you want to read some positive news or have a good news story to share, go and check out these publications.
Have I missed any? If so, let me know in the comments.
